Legacy Home page and Legacy Admin Dashboard
What is the Home page?
The home page is the first screen that you will see every time you sign on to iCarol.
The content is personalized for each person. On it you will see:
- Your name, your agency name and the date (In the title bar at the very top of your screen)
- Any upcoming shifts you’ve signed up for
- Shifts that other users need help covering
- Recent messages posted to the chatboard
- News articles the staff would like you to see
- Brief information about your agency, with a link to more detailed descriptions
- Clicking on listed text (in bold) will take you to the detail of the selected shift, chat or news item.
Also, if you’re new to iCarol, you’ll see links to short tutorials and help about how to use its many features.
The left-hand menu lists iCarol key features. Click on any of them to be taken into the main page of the selected feature.

What is the Legacy Admin Dashboard?
When an Admin or Supervisor logs into iCarol, the ‘Dashboard’ is the first page you'll see, which communicates important, high-level information about iCarol. The Dashboard page includes the following sections to help you stay aware of upcoming developments, updates, and more in iCarol:
- iCarol User Community
- Announcements, Tips and Tricks: this is a regularly updated list of very useful information coming from iCarol on important updates, latest enhancements, tips and tricks. Click the 'See all news...' link at the bottom of this section to see a list of all announcements published.
- Release History and Plans: information about iCarol, such as the current version, next version, release schedule, and changes made in each release.
- Your Key Indicators: displays a real time trend on covered shifts and incoming contacts; click the 'Covered shifts' link in this section to go to the main Shifts page, or click the 'Incoming contacts' link in this section to go to the main Contacts page
- Training Information: this section will link you to different pages found within the Help Library
At the top of the Dashboard page there is a link to view the 'home page everyone else sees'; clicking this link allows Admin and Supervisor level users to see the home page displayed to all other users.
What are the Announcements, tips and tricks on the Admin Dashboard?
The Announcements, tips and tricks section on the iCarol Dashboard is a regularly updated list of useful information on important updates, the latest enhancements, upcoming new features, and tips and tricks on how to use iCarol.
To access the Dashboard to see the Announcements, tips and tricks section:
- If you are an Admin or Supervisor, log into iCarol. The first screen you will see after logging in is the Dashboard; the Dashboard is only available to Admin and Supervisor level users
- If you are already logged into iCarol, click "Home" in the left side menu
- The Announcements, tips and tricks section is the second column on the page
- To view the full list of Announcements, tips and tricks, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "See all news.." at the bottom of the Announcements, tips and tricks column
