Managing Resources - Part I - Resource Database Overview 

This session will be the first in a series on Managing Resources. Part one will focus on understanding what a resource database is, with an emphasis on Resource Structure in iCarol and an introduction to Field Visibility. During this training, we will cover the following:
  1. What is a Resource Database?
  2. Understanding Resource structure in iCarol
  3. Learning the difference between Agency, Program, Site and Program@Site records
  4. How to use field visibility to control which fields are present on their resources records.



Managing Resources - Part II - Custom Categories & iCarol AIRS Taxonomy Tools

During this training participants will learn how to use the Custom Categories & iCarol AIRS Taxonomy Tools, including:
  1. What is the difference between Custom Categories and the AIRS Taxonomy?
  2. Creating Custom Categories
  3. Customizing your Taxonomy
  4. Categorizing Resources with Categories and/or Taxonomy Terms
  5. Taxonomy Updates
  6. Managing Resources in retired Taxonomy codes
  7. Managing Resources in inactive Taxonomy codes
  8. Assign Taxonomy Terms to Custom Categories



Managing Resources Part III: Understanding Referrals and Needs Data

During this training participants will learn how to use the Custom Categories & iCarol AIRS Taxonomy Tools. We will discuss:
  1. Settings related to saving referrals and Needs
  2. Saving referrals in Contact Records to resources using Met Needs, Unmet Needs, and Referral Status
  3. Reports available related to referrals to resources, Met Needs, Unmet Needs, and Referral Status



Managing Resources Part IV: Resource Database Sharing 

During this webinar, participants will learn about sharing Resources with other iCarol databases or partners outside of iCarol, including the following:
  1. Types of Resource Sharing with other iCarol systems
  2. Resource Sharing Permissions
  3. Reporting for Resource Sharing with other iCarol systems
  4. Resources Sharing with non-iCarol systems
