Data Confidentiality and Security

Data Confidentiality

All your sensitive caller and calls information which is typed into text boxes on the call report form and in caller profiles, is encrypted in our database. This way not even an iCarol staff member can read that information (instead it will appear as garbled information).

Data Security

If you have any questions about the security of your data in iCarol, you can go to our website, www.icarol.com, and on the main page under 'Depend on iCarol to Help You…' click the bubble labeled 'Security Your Data' to access all of our materials related to security. When you complete these steps, you’ll find following information available for you to review:
  1. Data Security, Privacy, and Infrastructure

Data Backup

We want you to know that your data is safe. iCarol performs database backups every two hours. These files are then held in the data center as well as in another secure facility geographically distant from the primary servers. These backups are first encrypted using very strong AES 256-bit encryption and stored for up to 7 days on our servers and up to 30 days in a secure offsite location.

All iCarol systems run on one of two servers, which are 'NA0' and 'NA1', one of which has Canadian based data centers and the other has US based data centers. The primary Canadian center is located in the Toronto, ON area with the backup in the Quebec province. The primary US center is located in San Antonia, Texas area with the back up in Northern California area. We do not release the exact address due to securities.
Note, a majority of iCarol systems run on NA0; if you are unsure which server your iCarol system runs on, it is likely you run on NA0, but a deisgnated Support Contact can go to 'Help' in the left side menu to submit a case requesting this information.
